We have had a lot of great projects at Build Kitchissippi this year, however I can say that this one is our favorite so far. This built in is custom made to maximize storage space while providing wonderful aesthetics. The lower five drawers all function on Blum soft close slides, while the uppers offer fully adjustable shelving in 1″ increments. All cabling and power requirements are fully hidden, allowing for the tidiest look possible. We especially love the barn board backing and the contrast it provides against the rest of the built in.

Build Kitchissippi has been putting the final paint touches on this porch build. The cedar was lovingly painted to match the existing colour palette of this century home.

We built our reputation on interior work, however we are on a run of decks and porches this summer. Build Kitchissippi proudly presents this cedar beauty as our latest project.

Build Kitchissippi is proud to present the before and after of our latest project. A few shortcuts lead to some safety concerns with the existing porch so Build Kitchissippi was called in to remove and then rebuild. We were happy to rebuild this porch with nods to both safety and aesthetics.

It is very satisfying to see a freshly tiled floor after it has been cleaned for the first time. Build Kitchissippi installed an uncoupling membrane on the floor then installed this lovely large format tile over top. During demo we often see tile jobs that ignore uncoupling membranes, movement joints, and other industry best practices. While not as flashy as the tile itself these best practices ensure your tile will have a long and happy life.

Build Kitchissippi updated this Alta Vista porch with a cleaner and more modern look. Aside from adding curb appeal this project revitalized a great main entrance. Spaces like this are made for long summer evenings and cold drinks.

Our Alta Vista porch refresher is coming along nicely. New sleeker posts and balusters give the porch a clean and more modern look. Once the wood has had a chance to dry out we will be set for paint!

To liven up this home’s entry Build Kitchissippi built a new front porch and installed a flagstone walkway in addition to installing a new front door.

The importance of water and vapour proofing in a shower enclosure cannot be understated. Build Kitchissippi recently attended a two day workshop hosted by Schluter Systems where we had the opportunity build a mock shower pan and enclosure for training purposes.

We take our insulation seriously at Build Kitchissippi. This photo details our sub floor installation process for a basement laundry room renovation. By installing rigid foam insulation as well as a vapour barrier under the OSB sub floor we are able to minimize moisture and cold floors.
